Documentarians and doc-curious film folks,
On Oct. 8, LOOK DIFFERENT is back and we want to see six seconds of what you’re working on.
It’s Season 3, Ep. 1: BRING BACK VINE (sort of! in-person!):
Inspired by the much-missed and truly weird 2010s video sharing site VINE, we want you to give us 6 seconds of … anything you’ve created.
Why? So we can throw it on the big screen at Mettlesome theatre, share tiny bits of work and start conversations.
How it’ll work:
you, my dear creator (lower-case ‘c’), will upload a 6 second clip. Anything from a project you are working on or worked on and want to tell folks about. Don’t overthink it. Just grab 6 seconds. And send it to [email protected] with the subject line “VINE FILES.” Send them in by Friday,
On Oct. 8, we’ll put it on a big screen in one big crazy scroll. And all get together in the room and watch it together. And ask each other questions about the images we’re seeing.
It’s a lightweight, fun, easy way for everyone in the scene to get a tiny glimpse of what we are all up to and get some conversations (and collaborations?) going.
And yes, it’s okay to just come watch, but even more fun to share.
Should be a fun experiment! Come through!
And keep looking different,
Saleem and D.L.
